Mass Save Programs

Through the Mass Save® Community First Partnership, residents of Northampton can access no-cost and reduced-cost energy upgrades. These programs are designed to improve home comfort, lower utility bills, and reduce environmental impact.

Available Programs for All Households

These programs are available to renters, homeowners, and landlords of 1–4 unit buildings in Northampton. The process begins with a no-cost Home Energy Assessment, where a specialist evaluates your home and recommends upgrades.

Home Energy Assessment (No-Cost)

A professional evaluation of your home's energy use and efficiency opportunities.

During an assessment, an Energy Specialist will seek out energy-saving opportunities, recommend upgrades, and help you navigate available rebates, incentives,0% HEAT Loan Financing. After an assessment, you will receive a Decarbonization Report highlighting the rebates and incentives you qualify for.

Air Sealing

Seals leaks and drafts to prevent heat loss and improve efficiency.

Air sealing closes gaps around doors, windows, attics, and basements to stop unwanted air movement.

Income Eligible Program

Some households qualify for enhanced benefits based on income and household size. These benefits may include fully subsidized upgrades, higher rebates, and additional upfront incentives to address necessary pre-work (such as removing knob-and-tube wiring or vermiculite) before insulation improvements can be completed.
